
What is the Chicago Ducky Derby?
The Chicago Ducky Derby is an annual fundraising event to raise awareness and critical funds for Special Olympics Illinois. The Chicago Ducky Derby is an all-day affair consisting of a festival beginning at 10:00 AM and the race splashdown at 1:00 PM.
Participants can adopt a duck for $10, each duck representing a chance to win exciting prizes, including a grand prize Chevy car.
Each duck entry supports an inclusive community of more than 60,000 traditional athletes, Young Athletes, Unified partners, coaches, volunteers, and more.

What is Special Olympics Illinois?
Special Olympics Illinois provides year-round opportunities in competitive sports, health education, and leadership development for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
This programming includes 18 Olympic-type sports; and gives participating athletes the chance to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
